Sticky Institute
As ardent defenders of zine culture, Sticky Institute is a shop and resource devoted entirely to zines. They sell zines on behalf of zinemakers, and since opening in 2001 have stocked over 12,000 zine titles. As a non-profit organisation they are 100% volunteer run and have also been in charge of the public contemporary art space, Platform. Sticky and Platform are both located in Campbell Arcade at the entrance to Flinders Street Station.
Brief:
Create a refreshing new image to suit their name update from Sticky Institute to just Sticky. A fresh identity that hints at the rebellious nature of zine culture but also reflects their DIY methods of production. The new brand needs to be somewhat subtle so it doesn’t overshadow the brilliant zines but also has a distinctive fresh and future focused atmosphere.
