This project is inspired by @yen.qin and @rymondtn’s cultural background, the Peranakan Chinese (or Baba Nyonya), where they celebrate the material culture of their heritage and food, with a modern, Australian twist.
These images are part of the ‘TABLED’ exhibition, a collection of 13 ceramic artists collaborating with chefs, exploring the terrain of the tabletop as a platform to share narratives about the function of tableware, community, and culture.
